The Vampire Revelation Book 1
Self-Published July 19, 2014
(Review Soon To Come)

Synopsis -

What would you do to protect your family? Ethan Baxter must decide whether to forfeit his life to save his loved ones or to die fighting those who wish to enslave him. A corrupt corporation, whose scientists have unlocked the genetic code of the vampire, holds the key to Ethan's fate. Many in the organization, like molecular biologist Harley Mason, see vampire DNA as cure to many of the world's medical and social problems, but quickly she realizes the sinister motives behind discovering the secret origin of vampirism. Harley's world soon collides with the world of the vampire and she must race against time and her employer in order to save her loved ones.

What's the best thing about being a writer?

A sense of accomplishing something outside of my skill set. I am a scientist by training not a fiction writer and while I have written a lot in the past, it has been primarily scientific journal articles, reports, or patent applications and such. Writing fiction is a totally different concept. Scientific writing involves putting as much explanation of data generated in the fewest words possible, where fiction writing dictates you must explain things thoroughly and emotionally connect with the reader. Two very different concepts. But both are fulfilling in their own regards, especially when the reader finds the writing valuable. - Sam Stafford
